I had big plans for the month of March. In fact, the March Newsletter was all about Manifestation. We were all getting excited about Spring and new opportunities-creating, envisioning, expanding! I journaled until my pen ran out of ink. Making list after list full of new and exciting things I wanted to do, projects I wanted to start, and ideas I wanted to manifest! I was super charged up and ready to be a changemaker! Then, I woke up one morning physically, mentally, and emotionally drained, and just fell to my knees. Suddenly, the energy felt more like Surrender.
So, I did...and just when I thought I surrendered enough...I then surrendered more.
The saying comes to mind, "If you want to make God laugh, tell Her your plans." This resonated big time! God definitely had other plans for me. Turns out, I wasn't the only one feeling this sudden intense urge to just surrender my plans. A lot of people were feeling it too, and they were also moved to let it all go, release, surrender, and rest.
Surrender is a powerful word. It's mentioned thousands of times in religious texts, from the Bible to the Vedas. It's about letting it all go, releasing the control and handing it over to a higher power. Surrender is not about giving up or taking yourself out of the game. It's about giving it over and allowing it all to unfold as it is meant to and in Divine Time. That's a pretty intense concept to swallow-especially if we are attached to a certain outcome or feel the need to be in control of everything.
When we Surrender we are living in the flow of life and releasing the control over what we think we may need and want. We allow space for what is truly meant for us and for our highest and greatest good. We may think we really need one particular thing and then suddenly, out of nowhere, something completely different and even better comes along. That's the amazing outcome of Surrender.
Perhaps, Surrender is truly the antidote for a year which has been completely out of our control on so many levels. Have faith that what is meant for you will find its way. It may not be the way you planned it or how you envisioned it, but it will be amazing and come to you when the time is right.
Wherever you are on your journey- please know that you are exactly where you need to be. We all need to rest and nurture ourselves. Sending you all love and light- Lon
