The Power of Song

As a Classical and Broadway- trained singer, I've had the privilege of performing on many stages. The greatest gift my voice has given me is an access point into health and wellness. 
Singing, humming, chanting, and gargling can all activate the vagus nerve-the body's longest cranial nerve-which impacts the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system, both the sympathetic and parasympathetic, plays a primary role in our immune system function health, digestion, and our body's calibrated stress and recovery response.
While I spend most of my time studio singing and working on vocal meditations, the stage still calls to me.
I encourage you to sing as often as you can to improve the health of your vagus nerve.  Anyone can sing! Your nervous system will thank you.
